Major Mustafa established Friends Enterprises on his retirement from the Pakistan Army in 1970. A well-known and respected member of Islamabad, Major Mustafa has been active in community and civic affairs.

Afzaal Mustafa is the Managing Director of Islamabad Compounds. His positions as the operational incharge of various family owned businesses in Pakistan include serving as CEO of Diyatech Pakistan with its USA subsidiary Alachisoft, and Managing Director of Friends Enterprises. He joined the business in 1977.

USA business is under the control and direction of two additional sons, Iqbal M. Khan & Akhlaq M. Khan.
